ITSS Ltd took centre stage at the HR Professionals’ Conference held in Solihull on 16th May 2018. Managing Director, Bally Bhogal was invited exclusively by Plum Personnel, organisers of the conference, to give a talk to over 50 HR Managers, Advisers, L&D Consultants and Company Directors about recent changes to apprenticeship funding and delivery rules, including the apprenticeship levy and non-levy options. Bally was keen to point out that 90% funding is available for apprenticeship training for existing employees and new starters for non-levied organisations and that apprentices can be any age over 16 years old.
Blasting through the jargon in an entertaining and information-packed presentation, Bally highlighted all the key changes within the apprenticeships sector, including the growing influx of Universities who are now on developing and delivering Degree Apprenticeships (including MBA programmes!). Bally certainly opened the eyes of those in attendance including some levy-paying organisations, many of whom were particularly interested in her explanation of how levy-paying employers can set up their own internal apprenticeship programmes (which is a core expertise of ITSS Ltd), instead of procuring external providers.
