THE ITSS TEAM

Bally Bhogal, CEO, ITSS Ltd

Founder and CEO of ITSS Ltd, Bally has over 15 years’ experience in funded training and Apprenticeships. In addition to spells at Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP and National Express Plc, her previous high-level roles include managing the award-winning Train-to-Gain pathfinder project at Birmingham Chamber & Business Link and she was a key member of the Senior Management Team at Pera Training Limited.   

Bally is the creator and developer of the unique end-to-end Spectrum-39™ Model utilised by ITSS to help Apprenticeship Levy-paying organisations set up as training providers (known as Employer-Provider status).  She also helps to plan Apprenticeship strategy and implementation for organisations preferring to deliver training through external training providers. Her other roles include advising non-levy-paying organisations on how to access 90% funded-training for staff development and delivering bespoke training projects for Universities, Councils and independent organisations.

Bally is a regular speaker on the Apprenticeship Levy at business events and conferences for various of organisations including the Federation of Small Businesses(FSB) and the Association of Employment & Learning Providers (AELP).   

Michael Barrows, Director, ITSS Ltd

Prior to establishing his own successful consultancy business in 2006, Michael held senior management positions in a variety of business sectors, including finance, telecoms, manufacturing and IT.

Michael leads on strategy development and bespoke projects delivered by ITSS within the areas of business needs identification (diagnostics), training needs analysis and training solutions design. Heading up our Brokerage Service, Michael also helps employers to access wider business support programmes, CPD and networking opportunities and provides a bespoke bid-writing service for our clients.

Michael is passionate about delivering customer service excellence and driving business growth by improving the management and development of people. He holds an MBA from Aston Business School and is a Non-Executive Director of REPC Limited, an ICT equipment and phone recycling social enterprise based in the West Midlands.

Kiran V Patel, Non-Executive Director, ITSS Ltd.

Kiran is an entrepreneurial and commercially focused chartered engineer and MBA; with sound blue chip, international, line management, and profit & loss experience. 

He is currently the promoter of Zenesis International Ltd, a boutique professional advisory & investment business and previously held Vice President position at Gemini Consulting (one of the world’s premier strategy and delivery businesses). Post-merger with Ernst & Young, Kiran was a member of the UK & Ireland Leadership Team for Strategy & Transformation, accountable for the sales management of £110m high-margin business across all industry sectors.  In a non-executive capacity, Kiran has supported KZen Equities Pvt. Ltd., a global investment business with entry into new markets and Tefen (a business listed on the Tel Aviv stock exchange) with global transformation to a management consultancy.

He has a natural ability to mobilise and communicate effectively at all levels, to enthuse, energise, share and gain ownership of change through an organisation.  Through influence and coaching he brings together organisational leaders and facilitates visioning, analysis, planning and execution of change through development, growth and restructuring.

George Kakaire, Head of Quality, ITSS Ltd.

George has a 25-year background in the funded learning and qualifications delivery sector, having held various key positions from Tutor/Teacher, Assessor/Trainer to Internal Quality Assurer and now Head of Quality for ITSS. He also worked for several years as a qualified Business Adviser at Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, advising employers of all sizes and sectors on their workforce development strategy and company training planning.

George has an excellent appreciation of the apprenticeship sector (both in terms of delivery and quality management), having managed, coached and mentored teams of Assessors and Internal Quality Assurers across several different Colleges, private training providers and subcontractors during his career history. He now heads up quality and the delivery of internal quality assurance services for ITSS; observing apprenticeship delivery, providing feedback to delivery teams, driving improvement activities and helping clients to aspire for and achieve excellence within apprenticeship delivery.
